VPR Named 2016 Best Place To Work In Vermont

The VPR Staff, March 2015

Vermont Public Radio has once again been named one of the Best Places to Work in Vermont. It's the fourth year VPR has made the list of the top small to mid-sized companies in the state.

The annual list is designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Vermont. Companies from across the state were evaluated on company workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics; and a survey to measure the employee experience.

“Every member of our team is committed to excellence, and each new day is an opportunity to improve our service to the community,” said VPR President Robin Turnau. “We are so honored to win this award. I want to thank the staff for their passion and dedication to our mission, and our listeners and supporters who partner with us to make public radio thrive in Vermont.”

The program was created in 2006 by Vermont Business Magazine and the Vermont Chamber of Commerce, in association with the Vermont State Council, Vermont Department of Labor, Vermont Department of Economic Development and Best Companies Group.

Companies from across the state entered the two-part process to determine the Best Places to Work in Vermont. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, and demographics, while the second part is an employee survey to measure the employee experience.

VPR is among 38 honorees this year. Final rankings will be announced at an awards presentation March 31 at the ECHO Lake Aquarium and Science Center in Burlington.

A full list of honorees is available here.
