Assessing How The Democratic Candidates Fared In The First 2020 Debates

Jun 27, 2019

The Democratic presidential field is a crowded one. And the candidates got to appear together over two nights in Miami for debates of 10 candidates each night. It's not easy to stand out in such a robust field. Vermont Edition takes a look at how the candidates did when they had the spotlight.

We hear from:

  • Linda Fowler, professor of government at Dartmouth College
  • Matt Dickinson, Middlebury College political science professor
  • Ted Kohn, dean of the college of liberal arts at Norwich University

They'll discuss who stood out and who lost ground — and how Senator Bernie Sanders fared.

Broadcast live on Friday, June 28, 2019 at noon; rebroadcast at 7 p.m.
