Autumn is a great time to plant bulbs and build your soil for next year.

If you love to garden, there's still plenty of time to dig in the dirt before the winter chill blows in. On this Vermont Edition, we have gardening expert and Vermont Garden Journal host Charlie Nardozzi ready to answer all your questions on fall gardening.
Nardozzi has advice on planting flower bulbs, garlic and shallots, when or if to cut back plants and what you can do in your meadow if you'd like to attract butterflies next year. He will also discuss planting trees and shrubs, harvesting apples and may even offer tips on pumpkin carving.

Broadcast on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2018 at noon; rebroadcast at 7 p.m.

Ric was a producer for Vermont Edition and host of the VPR Cafe.
