Be Here For VPR During The September Drive

Sep 21, 2019

The news never takes time off, and VPR doesn’t either. Because VPR is here for you every day, we’re asking you to be here for news, music, community and so much more by supporting VPR during our September 2019 membership drive

Update 12:00 p.m. on 9/21/19: Nearly 2,200 listeners contributed $200,864 in support of our mission: to make our region stronger through great journalism, cultural enrichment and meaningful social connection. As of noon today, we came up about $49,136 shy or overall goal. If you didn't get the chance to contribute, it's never too late to join. THANK YOU to everyone who supported VPR during this drive and throughout the year. You make it all possible!

Original Post: VPR is radio that matters, made possible by donations from listeners who recognize that if a nonprofit public service like VPR is to flourish it must be backed by communities it serves. In fact, more than 90 percent of VPR’s funding comes from our local community.

Listener support has helped VPR accomplish incredible things for you and your community. Through Vermont Edition, we discuss solutions to some of Vermont’s toughest challenges. Our investigative reporting reveals injustices, such as a judge who issued illegal arrest warrants for not paying small claims court fees and fines. Our music programming highlights the best classical, jazz and world music.

But there’s still so much more to be done, and that’s why we need your contribution today. Let us know that you’ll be here for VPR as we work to examine the future of our rural state, expand our coverage of underserved communities, and improve our regional news coverage – all while being your source for NPR News and the national programs you love.
