Citing State Reports, VTDigger Details Violations In Treatment Of Mental Health Patients

In Vermont, a growing number of mental health patients stay in emergency rooms, their stays in are getting longer — and in the past nine months, state reports showed six hospitals around Vermont have violated regulations governing the treatment of psychiatric patients.Those are some of the findings published in a story this week by Mike Faher of VTDigger. Faher's story details the state inspections that have found violations around Vermont in the handling of mental health patients.
