Bluffs on the shore of Lake Champlain show off some of the state's geologic history.

Forget decades and centuries. We're looking at deep time, millions and billions of years, and how the epochs have shaped the state's landscape. How Vermont's geologic history has given us the ground we walk on and the mountains we marvel at.

We're joined by Vermont state geologist Marjorie Gale and UVM professor and geology chair Charlotte  Mehrtens.

Plus, we begin the show by hearing from Leif Richardson on his latest research on how climate change is shrinking the range of bumblebees.

And on summer school - how to tune a piano.
