Grammys and Groundhogs

We welcome February with Vermont dixieland jazz, some of this year's Grammy winners, and at least one or two groundhog songs!

This program will air on Sunday February 2nd from 7 - 10 p.m.

This week's calendar announcements:

Chandler Center for the Arts is pleased to announce Musical Storytelling for All Ages with Scrag Mountain Music in concert on Friday February 7th at 6 p.m. with pizza provided prior to the concert beginning at 5 p.m.

Pete’s Posse will be performing for the Burnham Music Series at Burnham Hall, 52 River Rd., Lincoln, on Saturday,February 8th.   Doors open at 7:00 p.m. and the show begins at 7:30.

The Whallonsburg Grange Hall in Essex, New York presents one of the hottest young bluegrass bands on the music scene, Mile Twelve, on Sunday, February 9th at 7:00 p.m.

The folk duo Sound an Echo will be performing for P.M. Sundays at the Richmond Congregational Church on Sunday February 9th at 4 p.m.

Dave Keller will perform at a CD release party at Sweet Melissa's in Montpelier on Sunday February 9th at 5:30 p.m.

Vermont musician and composer Spencer Lewis will be performing on Saturday February 8th at North Common Arts in Chelsea beginning at 7 p.m.

Brandon Music welcomes Melissa D and friends, Phil Henry and Jimmy Kalb on Saturday February 8th.

Next Stage Arts Project and Twilight Music present an evening with contemporary folk singer/songwriter John Gorka on Sunday, February 9 at 7:30 pm at Next Stage at 15 Kimball Hill in downtown Putney.

Mary McGinniss and the Selkies will be performing a free concert at Philo Ridge Farm in Charlotte on Sunday February 9th froom 1-3 p.m.

Robert Resnik has been the host of All the Traditions, Vermont Public's folk and world music show, since 1996. He is the winner of the 2019 Herb Lockwood Prize In the Arts, an honor that rewards the pinnacle of arts leadership in Vermont and is the recipient of the 2022 Margaret L Kannenstine Award for Arts Advocacy from the Vermont Council of the Arts.
