David Bromberg performs in Essex Junction, some northwestern African hitmakers, Richard Thompson's 70th birthday, and much much more!

This program will air on Sunday April 7th from 7 - 10 p.m.

This week's caendar announcements:

Snake Mountain Bluegrass will be performing at Brandon Music on Saturday April 13th.

The Vermont Fiddle Orchestra under the directorship of David Kaynor will perform its annual Spring Concert on Saturday, April 13that 7 p.m. at the Barre Opera House.  Special guest soloists will be Katie and Corie Pressley.

There will be a family contra dance at the Tunbridge Town Hall on Friday April 12th at 7:30 p.m. with live music and with refreshments at intermission. All dances taught.

A traditional Breton fest noz will be held at Tourterelle on Route 7 in New Haven on Sunday April 14th from 4-7 p.m. featuring crepes, cider, live music from the trio Triton (Jeremiah McLane, Alex Kehler, and Timothy Cummings), and with calling by Mary Wesley.

The Chandler Music Hall in Randolph presents bluegrass icons The Seldom Scene on Friday April 12th.

The Dave Keller Band will be performing at Grizzly's at Stratton Mountain on Friday April 12th at 7 p.m. and at the Zen Barn in Waterbury on Saturday April 13th at 9 p.m.

Next Stage Arts Project and Twilight Music present Alasdair Fraser and Natalie Haas on Thursday, April 11 at 7:30 p.m. at Next Stage at 15 Kimball Hill in downtown Putney.

Bread and Butter Farm in Shelburne presents the Gawler Sisters on Saturday April 13th at 7p.m. 

The Michele Fay Band will be performing for the Burnham Music Series, at Burnham Hall in Lincoln on Saturday April 13th at 7:30 p.m.

Singer-songwriter Linda Sussman  will be playing at Radio Bean on Saturday, April 13th  from 7-8 p.m.

The NEK trad band, Fifth Business, will be appearing at the Chelsea Arts Collective, 3 North Common,Chelsea at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 13th.

The Double E in Essex Junction presents the David Bromberg Quintet on Wednesday April 10th.

The Burlington vocal group Amerykanka wil host the Montréal duo Murmurosi , who will be singing Ukrainian polyphonic folk songs on Saturday April 13th at 7 p.m. at Congregation Ruach haMaqom on Archibald St. in Burlington's Old North End. 

 

Robert Resnik has been the host of All the Traditions, Vermont Public's folk and world music show, since 1996. He is the winner of the 2019 Herb Lockwood Prize In the Arts, an honor that rewards the pinnacle of arts leadership in Vermont and is the recipient of the 2022 Margaret L Kannenstine Award for Arts Advocacy from the Vermont Council of the Arts.
