Summer Music Festivals In Vermont

Visit the Summer Festivals Page

Update: July 10, 2013

Despite wet weather conditions, Summer music festivals continue to unfold across the VPR listening area. The Basin Bluegrass Festivalin Brandon, Camp Bisco in Mariaville, NY,  Summer Music Associates in Lebanon, NH, Solarfest in Tinmouth, Marlboro Music and the Manchester Music Festival all get underway this week.

VPR Classical host, Kari Anderson, is particularly interested in the Marlboro Music and Manchester Music Festivals. She recently spoke with Vermont Edition about both of them, and you can hear audio for that interview here. We have links to all the festivals on our Summer Festivals Page.

Don't let the rain dampen your spirits! Get out and listen to some live music!

May 20, 2013

Now that Memorial Day weekend is just a few days away, people are really starting to think about music festivals. Discover Jazz is just around the corner, and with acts like Bobby McFerrin, Branford Marsalis, Helen Sung and Gretchen Parlato, music fans are looking forward to the sounds of jazz spilling out onto Church Street in Burlington on a warm June evening.

But Discover Jazz is only part of a season of terrific music throughout the VPR listening area. And the best way to stay on top of who’s playing where, is with the 2013 VPR Summer Music Festivals web page.

The color coded page is divided up between classical and folk/jazz/international listings with links to festival sites for more information. There’s also a Google Map on the page to show what’s happening in your area.

Whether you’re hot to see Kathleen Kim sing Lucia di Lammermoor with Opera North, Lindsay Lou and The Flat Bellys at GottaGetGone, or Kobo Town at the Middlebury Festival On The Green the VPR Summer Music Festivals page is where you’ll find more information on what’s going on near you.

The page is updated from time to time, so be sure to bookmark it and check back for the latest information.

Going to a live music event this summer? Take a photo and e-mail it to us at [redacted], so we can add it to the festival photo gallery on the page.
