Vermont Edition checks in with Vermonters, town clerks and more about the primary and how they're voting during the pandemic.

Tuesday, Aug. 11, is Primary Day in Vermont. This hour, we check in with town clerks, the Secretary of State and VPR reporters to get the latest on how polling places are preparing for voters in a pandemic, and how Vermonters are casting their ballots — in person or by mail — this primary.

Our guests are:

  • Jim Condos, Vermont's secretary of state running unopposed in the Democratic primary
  • Patty Dow, the town clerk for Halifax
  • Sally Ober, the Lincolntown clerk
  • Chuck Sweetman, a justice of the peace and longtime poll volunteer in Landgrove
  • Howard Weiss-TismanVPR's southern Vermont reporter
