WATCH: Craftsbury Community Rallies For Black Lives

About 200 people gathered in Craftsbury Common Wednesday to rally for black lives.

Some 200 people came together at the Craftsbury Common on Wednesday to hold signs, make speeches, march and even ride a horse in support of black lives.

The rally was organized by local residents Pablo Coddou and Anne-Marie Keppel. It was interrupted several times by counter-protesters, including people who drove by in a truck with a Confederate flag.

It was one of numerous and ongoing protests across Vermontand around the country calling for the dismantling of systemic racism. They began last month after a white police officer was charged with the murder of a black man, George Floyd, in Minneapolis.
