What's Brewing In Vermont

Tony Talbot

AP
The craft brewing industry continues to expand, as a massive merger reshapes the world's beer industry.

With the world's two largest beer companies set to merge, craft brewers across the country are eying how the deal might affect their distribution. At the same time, Vermont's brewing scene continues to be the envy of many states, with a variety of options that draw in beer lovers from beyond the state's borders. Are we anywhere near the boom turning to bust?  We're talking about the state of the state's brewing industry - beer and beyond.

Joining us are 14th Star CEO Andrea Gagner, Alchemistco-owner Jen Kimmich, and Groennfell Meadery CEO Kelly Klein.

Also on the program: forty years ago, a book by a Vermont couple helped plant the seeds of the craft brewing revolution. We talk to Tim Matson, co-author of Mountain Brew: A High-Spirited Guide to Country-Style Beer Making.

Broadcast live on Monday, December 21, 2015 at noon; rebroadcast at 7 p.m.
