Art Hounds: Comedy, Song & Practice

Stand-up comic Bitsy Biron of Barre suggested the Bueno Comedy Showcase, featuring Vermont comics. The showcase is Friday, Jan. 24 at 8 p.m. at Espresso Bueno on Main Street in downtown Barre.

Local music lover Johanna White and Awareness Theater director Emily Anderson both recommended the Local Legends concert to benefit Responsible Growth Hinesburg.

The concert features Doug Perkins, Jamie Masefield, Tyler Bolles, Jon Fishman, Maryse Smith, Pete Sutherland and others, playing acoustic tunes at the C.V.U. auditorium in Hinesburg.

Painter Kate Gridley of Middlebury recommended the Vermont Artists' Week at Vermont Studio Center in Johnson. The event is for artists and writers of all types and is designed to create a week of intensive studio time for practice and fellowship with other artists.
