Art Hounds: Drag Queens & Bluegrass Tunes

Alisha Falberg of South Royalton recommended two events at Vermont Law School. The Alliance arts project, Sex, Gender, Expression and the First Amendment

The first is anart opening through April 12 at Yates Hall on the Vermont Law School campus. The exhibit features photographer Evie Lovett's,Backstage at the Rainbow Cattle Co: Dragqueens of Dummerston, VT and the second is a film screening of Paris Is Burning.

South Burlington playwright Judy Alexander suggested the Jewish Plays Project's Maple Edition Playwriting Contest at Main Street Landing on Sunday at 2 p.m.

Alex Botinelli of Hardwick suggested four local poets reading from their work at the Mathewson School in Barre on Sunday, March 23 at 2 p.m.

Local writer Mary Mathias recommended Scott Ainslee's concert of Mississippi blues music, The Land Where The Blues Began, to benefit Brooks Memorial Library in Brattleboro on Friday, March 21st at 7:30 p.m.

Emily Hausman of Newbury suggested The Paul McKenna Bandat Alumni Hall in Haverill, New Hampshire on Saturday, March 22nd at 8 p.m.

Harris Roen recommended The Royall Tyler Theater's production of Urine Town, on stage through Sunday.

Tricia Fong of Stowe suggested the Stowe Dance Academy's TRIP Dance Company in its 11th annual performance at Spruce Peak Performing Arts Center with two performances on Saturday, March 22nd.

Eva Zimet of Randolph recommended celebrating the arrival of Spring at the South Royalton House Pub with Vermont beer, wine, food and jazz, featuring the Shape and Color Jazz Ensemble at The Supper Club at the Pub on Friday, March 21 from 8 till 10 p.m.
