VPR program hosts Robert Resnik & Joel Najman at the last VPR record swap

In addition to the usual magnificent melange of local and world music on the show today, we are celebrating the launch of an exciting new service:  Beginning this week, the two most recent programs of All the Traditions and My Place, Joel Najman's gem and one of VPR's longest-running programs, will be broadcast continuously online!

Calendar Announcements

Bagitos in Montpelier will host its regular weekly Irish music session on Sat. July 5th from 2:00 -5:00 p.m. Featured musicians will include Sarah Blair, Hilari Farrington, Benedict Koehler, Katrina VanTyne, and many others. 

Martin Grosswendt, with special guest Susanne Salem-Schatz, will perform on Thurs. June 26th at the Sandglass Theater in Putney at 7:30 p.m. Martin and Susanne will also perform on Sat. June 28th at we’ll be at the Upper Valley Music Center in Lebanon, NH at 7:00 p.m. 

Justin Townes Earle will be at the Colonial Theater in Bethlehem, NH on Thurs. July 3rd . 

Carol Hausner and Mark Struhsacker will perform in front of The First Congregational Church in Morrisville on  Fri. July 4th at 10:00 a.m. – right before the parade. 

Award-winning violinist Kate MacLeod will make her Upper Valley debut concert at the Community Room of the Meriden Congregational Church Meriden, NH on Sat. July 5th  at 8:00 p.m. She will also lead a fiddle workshop at 3:00 p.m. 

The Swing Peepers will be at the Bristol Farmer’s Market on Sat. July 5th at 10:00 a.m. 

The band Cricket Tell the Weather will perform at the Ripton Community Coffee House on Sat. July 5th  at 7:30 p.m. The famous open mic begins at 7:30 p.m. followed by the featured performers. 

The Monadnock Folklore Society presents the Peterborough, NH  first Saturday contra dance on Sat. July 5th  featuring Lisa Sieverts calling with fiddler George Wilson and Larry Unger on guitar. For the summer months, the Peterborough dances are being held at the Peterborough Community Center near Route 101. 

The Irregulars will give a free concert in Burlington’s City Hall Park at noon on Wed. July 2nd . 

Café Lena in Saratoga Springs presents Harpeth Rising on Sat. July 5th at 8:00 p.m. 

Catamount Arts and the Flynn Center present Neko Case on Wed. July 2nd  at 8:00 p.m.on the Flynn mainstage in Burlington 

Robert Resnik has been the host of All the Traditions, Vermont Public's folk and world music show, since 1996. He is the winner of the 2019 Herb Lockwood Prize In the Arts, an honor that rewards the pinnacle of arts leadership in Vermont and is the recipient of the 2022 Margaret L Kannenstine Award for Arts Advocacy from the Vermont Council of the Arts.
