Art Hounds: Symphony, Irish Music & Songs From Tin Pan Alley

Daniel Bruce directs the Burlington Civic Symphony Orchestra.

Julie Walker of Westport, New York, suggested the Burlington Civic Symphony Orchestra spring concert on Saturday, March 14th at 7:30 p.m. at the Elley-Long Music Center in Colchester.

Sarah Blair is a fiddler from Middlebury who recommended The Concert For St. Patrick, an evening of traditional Irish music with young musicians, Sligo Bound Six, at St. Michael's College McCarthy Arts Center on Saturday, March 21st at 7 p.m.

Courtney Howard of South Burlington suggested the two-day event featuring songs from Tin Pan Alley, called The 1930s! Students from the Bill Reed Voice Studio will perform at Spotlight Vermont on San Remo Drive in South Burlington. Concerts and workshops are on Friday, March 13th and Sunday, March 15th.

Support for Arts Hounds comes from The Vermont Arts Council celebrating 50 years of public funding for the arts with Vermont Arts 2015.
