Leahy On Surveillance, Patriot Act

Congress is debating the renewal of some sections of the USA Patriot Act, which expire in a few weeks. The law allows will the federal government to conduct massive phone surveillance efforts, which Vermont Senator Patrick Leahy wants to curtail.

"If we pick up everything, do we have anything?" asks Leahy, in him argument to restrict the government's access to these records. Leahy is our guest Friday on Vermont Edition for a live interview on this and other issues.
