Meet The Candidates: Sue Minter

Peter Hirschfeld
/
VPR
Former VTrans Secretary Sue Minter is one of three Democratic candidates for governor.

Vermont's primary election is only eight weeks away. Voters will have the opportunity to choose candidates for state-wide offices, Vermont's House of Representatives and Senate for the general election in November.

As part of VPR's Meet the Candidates series, we will interview the leading candidates in the gubernatorial race, hearing their views on the top issues facing the state.

We begin with former Vermont Transportation Secretary Sue Minter of Waterbury.

Sue Minter will also be available for a Vermont Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) on Friday, July 1 at 12:45 p.m.

Also on the program, the Hardwick Gazette, a weekly newspaper in the Northeast Kingdom, can be yours if you win an essay contest. We get the details from the paper's owner Ross Connelly.

Plus, we hear the latest installment of VPR's Live From The Fort series with music from The Smittens.

This program is broadcast live on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at noon; rebroadcast at 7 p.m.
