Campaign 2018: Republican State Rep Janssen Willhoit Seeks Attorney General Job

Rep. Janssen Willhoit on the floor of the Vermont Capitol. Willhoit is the Republican candidate for attorney general in the Nov. 6 election.

Janssen Willhoit is a Republican representing St. Johnsbury in Vermont's Legislature. He's also an attorney, a graduate of Vermont Law School and the Republican candidate for attorney general.

VPR's Peter Hirschfeld spoke with Willhoit for Vermont Edition about the candidate's views on Vermont's criminal justice system and the reforms he'd push for on issues like transparency, incarceration, and the opioid crisis should he be elected to office.
