Ownership of a vegetable farm in Burlington's Intervale has recently changed hands. Although small, Half Pint Farm provides many area restaurants with fresh produce and is known for its colorful stand at The Burlington Farmers Market. While new owners, Emily and Sean Mitchell, continue to provide what customers have come to expect, they've also added some new veggies.

In this episode, Seven Days food writer Melissa Pasanen provides a quick backstory of the farm and explains why original owners, Mara and Spencer Welton, decided to sell. We'll also hear about the transition of the business to the Mitchells, and some new varieties of tomatoes and peppers being grown this season.

After listening to this podcast, take a peek at Pasanen's story, "The Intervale's Half Pint Farm Transitions to New Owners."
