This week's calendar announcements:

For the first time since COVID-19 closed the theater, The Barre Opera House welcomes back concertgoers on Saturday, September 25th at 7:30 p.m. for an evening with folk icon Tom Rush.

Innovative guitarist and composer Hiroya Tsukamoto plays an immersive fusion of folk, jazz, and world music at a special 2 p.m. matinee on September 26 at Stage 33 Live, 33 Bridge Street in Bellows Falls.

On Thursday September 23rd The Bluegrass Pioneers will be offering free music on the “parklet patio" at the Three Penny Taproom in Montpelier from 8-10 p.m.

Ida Mae Specker & The Terrible Mountain Stringband headline the *VERMONT ROOTS ROADSHOW* at Higher Ground in South Burlington on Friday September 24th @ 7 p.m. This is a special tour with Saints & Liars, Maple Run Band, Western Terrestrials, and Sarah King. Ida Mae will be debuting her original songs from the EP 'Billy in the Heartland.'

Aoife O'Donovan will perform on Friday September 24th at 7 p.m. in the Lyndon Institute Auditorium.

Robert Resnik has been the host of All the Traditions, VPR's folk and world music show, since 1996. He is the winner of the 2019 Herb Lockwood Prize In the Arts, an honor that "aims to reward the pinnacle of arts leadership in a state blessed with creative energy disproportionate to its population." He is also the recipient of the 2022 Magaret Kannestine Arts Advocacy Award from the Vermont Arts Council, and is a 2023 inductee to the International Folk Alliance's FolkDJ Hall of Fame.
