We bid farewell to the presently fleeting and endlessly "interesting" year with classic country music, an African melange, highlights of upcoming new year celebrations in St. Johnsbury and Burlington, and much much more !

The program will air on Sunday December 26th from 7 - 10 p.m.

Highlight Burlington continues First Night Burlington's tradition of offering a wide variety of performances and events to usher in 2022. Live and hybrid musical performances include Jenni Johnson and Jazz Junketeers, Mary McGinniss and the Selkie Trio, Burlington Taiko, VPR's own Mary Engisch hosting Safe and Sound live, and much more - check the website for more information.

Catamount Arts presents First Night North in and around St. Johnsbury on December 31st. Featured musical acts include the Bob & Sarah Amos Band, Fifth Business, John Gailmor, Dan Houghton and Rachel Clemente, Colin McCaffrey, the Newark Balkan Chorus, Dana and Susan Robinson, Va-et Vient, and many more!

Robert Resnik has been the host of All the Traditions, VPR's folk and world music show, since 1996. He is the winner of the 2019 Herb Lockwood Prize In the Arts, an honor that "aims to reward the pinnacle of arts leadership in a state blessed with creative energy disproportionate to its population." He is also the recipient of the 2022 Magaret Kannestine Arts Advocacy Award from the Vermont Arts Council, and is a 2023 inductee to the International Folk Alliance's FolkDJ Hall of Fame.
