Health Update: What Impact Will The Delta Variant Have On Vermont?

There are growing concerns in some parts of the country that another COVID-19 surge is underway, primarily due to the spread of the delta variant among unvaccinated people. This hour, we talk to state health officials about what these concerns mean for Vermont.

  • Patsy Kelso, State epidemiologist with the Vermont Health Department

Bob is a veteran Vermont journalist, specializing in political reporting. He is based in VPR’s Capital Bureau located across the street from Vermont’s Statehouse. Prior to joining VPR full time in 2002, Bob ran the Vermont News Service for 21 years. The service provided daily local news for eleven stations, including VPR. Bob started the News Service following a stint as news director for WNCS.
Emily is a recent graduate of the University of Missouri. She graduated with a Bachelors of Journalism, and spent her time at Mizzou working at Columbia's NPR affiliate, KBIA, and interned at the Kansas City NPR affiliate KCUR. Emily was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, and loves to find new music, movies and support the local arts.
