November's Student Composer Showcase is Duxbury's Erin Magill, a 9th grader at Harwood Union High School. Erin's piece Shades of Purple uses different instrumental tone colors to evoke lavendar, magenta and deep purple hues.
The Student Composer Showcase is produced in collaboration with Music-COMP's online mentoring program.
Shades of Purple was recorded at the Ludlow Town Hall Auditorium April 30th of 2014 with Berta Frank (flute), Steve Klimowski (clarinet) and Elizabeth Reid (viola).
