Anthem Set To Release Health Care Details
The only New Hampshire health insurer offering options through the marketplace created by the Affordable Care Act is expected to unveil details of its plans today.
Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Hampshire said last week it would release specifics of the 11 plans this week.
The federal government has already approved the company's 11 medical plans, a stand-alone dental plan and a small number of plans for small businesses.
Anthem has been criticized for creating a smaller provider network for its individual plans but company officials say that was the only way to keep premiums affordable. The new network includes 16 of the state's 26 acute-care hospitals.
Under the federal law, virtually everyone in the country will be required to have health insurance or face fines.
