Vermont lawmakers are considering a ban on all hand-held devices used by adult drivers.

This week, Vermont legislators heard debate on the use of hand-held devices by drivers. A proposed ban includes all hand-held devices used by adults. Also in the news this week: New evidence shows that the Vermont Blueprint for Health has demonstrated its ability to control and reduce overall health care costs.  VPR’s Bob Kinzel speaks with Peter Biello about the news of the week in Montpelier.

His work has won several Associated Press awards and has appeared on NPR's All Things Considered, Weekend Edition, and PRI's This American Life. A graduate of the creative writing program at the University of Maine at Farmington, Peter enjoys writing, cooking and traveling.
