Sen. Bernie Sanders said on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" program this morning that he will vote for Hillary Clinton. But Sanders also says he will not withdraw from the race at this time.

Sen. Bernie Sanders acknowledged this morning that he is unlikely to win the Democratic nomination and says he will vote for Hillary Clinton.

The Vermont senator appeared on the MSNBC "Morning Joe" program, and talked about his future political plans. Asked if he will vote for Clinton, Sanders said:

“Yes. I think the issue right here is, I’m going to do everything I can do defeat Donald Trump. I think Trump, in so many ways, will be a disaster for this country if he were to be elected president. We do not need a president whose cornerstone of his campaign is bigotry.”

But Sanders also says he will not withdraw from the race. He said that right now his goal is to fight for the strongest possible platform at the convention in July. He's pushing for the inclusion of progressive policies that protect vulnerable workers and keep big money out of politics.
