The Republican Governors Association is dropping big money on another TV ad buy. But the organization looks to be shifting tactics as Election Day nears.
A Stronger Vermont, the independent-expenditure committee established here by the RGA, has already spent more than $500,000 in Vermont, mostly on pro-Phil Scott television ads that have been running since shortly after the Scott won his primary race.
According to a mass media disclosure filed by A Stronger Vermont Sunday, the group is spending another $308,000 on a new round of television ads. But the majority of that ad buy – $244,000 – is dedicated to spots featuring Scott’s rival, Democrat Sue Minter.
